The Music Industry's most prestigious award, is presented annually by the Recording Academy to honour excellence in the recording arts and sciences. It is awarded by and to artists and technical professionals for artistic or technical achievement, not sales or chart positions.

Country Music Association Awards
Some of the biggest and brightest names in Country Music are chosen by their own peers of the music industry for the annual awards.

Australian Record Industry Association Awards

Each year, 80-plus ARIA member companies nominate music for the ARIA Music Awards which are voted by over 400 judges drawn from every sphere of the industry - booking agencies, media, promotion, record companies, recording studios and retail. The Voting Academy, which judges 13 awards, consists of over 400 representatives from every area of the music industry.

Dove Awards
Bearing a rich history, the Dove Awards are the longest running, most prestigious awards show in Gospel music in which the gospel music industry recognizes its peers for their accomplishments. The Dove Awards are voted on by the members of the Gospel Music Association (GMA).

The Soul Train Music Awards

Voters are limited to three groups of working professionals, which include radio station program directors, currently active recording artists, and retail personnel.

Detroit Music Awards
To be eligible, artists must have a tie to southeast Michigan. Such ties include nativity, long term residency, current residency, or having done a body of work within the southeast Michigan area that has resulted in permanent and indelible identification with the area.

Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards
Each of the twenty Music Award categories is judged by a panel of five to seven individuals from across Canada, who are active members of the professional Canadian music industry.

Mercury Music Prize
The annual Technics Mercury Music Prize aims to celebrate the best in British music. The Prize is open to all types of music including pop, rock, dance, folk, jazz and contemporary classical. An independent panel of judges selects the 12 "Albums of the Year" and then meets again on the night of the Mercury Show in September, to choose the overall Winner of the Prize.

East Coast Music Awards
The East Coast Music Association is a registered non-profit association dedicated to the music of Atlantic Canada. Membership includes musicians, artists, agents, managers, record companies, studios, media, related corporation and retailers. The East Coast Music Awards celebrate and honour outstanding contributions to Atlantic Canadian Music.

Ivor Novello Awards
Awards for British songwriters, composers and music publishers, presented by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters in association with the Performing Right Society.

Gramophone Awards

Known as the Oscars of the classical music world and considered to be the world's best classical music magazine. From hundreds of recordings released between June 1 and May 31 each year, a committee of Gramophone reviewers selects a maximum of 40 discs per category. The results deliver the six discs for each category's shortlist.

BMI Awards

Broadcast Music Inc. Songwriters are awarded each year by category. Winners are selected from the entire BMI catalog, based on the amount of performances during the award period.

California Music Awards
Nominees are selected by a panel of music industry professionals representing journalists, radio hosts, program and music directors, critics, club bookers, artist management, record company executives, producers and retail management and are intended to reflect the California groups and performers who excelled in music.Winners for the California Music Awards (formerly the Bammies) are determined by Public Vote!

Native American Music Awards

The First Annual Native American Music Awards made its historic debut in 1998 as a sold out show. The Awards was a huge success and highly acclaimed for its professionalism, beauty, inspiration, and method of providing overdue recognition for an indigenous art form.

Los Angeles Music Awards

The Annual Los Angeles Music Awards salute the contributions and accomplishments of five generations of Hollywood success stories that began their careers on the world famous Sunset Strip.

World Music Awards

World Music Awards pay tribute to the very best in contemporary music from around the globe. Honour the best selling recording artists from around the world.

TEC Awards
The publishers of the professional audio trade magazine, Mix, founded the Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards in 1985 to honor excellence in the professional recording and sound production industry. Mix magazine subscribers vote on a total of 28 Awards in the Outstanding Technical, Creative and Institutional Achievement categories.

MOBO Awards

The event was created to honour contemporary urban music, regardless of colour or creed. The nominees are decided by more than 2,000 members of the MOBO Academy, who include record company executives, DJs, producers and journalists. Music fans voting via the website decide the eventual winners.
